The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Joe Ajaero, has described the police invitation to answer questions on alleged involvement in terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony, as one of the hazards of being a labour leader.
Ajaero stated this yesterday while addressing a crowd of labour members who gathered at the NLC headquarters, Abuja, to welcome him after honouring an invitation by the police Intelligence Response Team in the company of his Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana.
The NLC leader described the labor movement as not just one of the largest pan-Nigerian organizations, but are more patriotic than any other institution in the country, promising that the union will not compromise its patriotism and commitment no matter the challenge it faces.
He commended the NLC members gathered at the headquarters and other members across the country for the level of solidarity they have given to him, stressing that the union will continue in its struggle of demanding better welfare for the Nigerian workers.
