Ahmed Musa Returns to Super Eagles Squad for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has been recalled to the national team for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, marking his return after years of absence.

Musa, who last featured for the Super Eagles before their silver-winning campaign at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, tops the provisional squad released by the newly appointed head coach, ERIC Chelle.

 

Chelle has also called up Stanley Nwabali and Adebayo Adeleye in goal, while the defensive lineup features; William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, and Ola Aina.
