The Abia State governor, ALEX OTTI, has expressed shock over the invasion and attack on a popular hospitality establishment in Umuahia, De Latinos Concept, on Sunday, which led to the destruction of property and injuries to innocent persons.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, FERDINAND EKEOMA, OTTI vowed that every individual involved in the attack would be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others who might consider engaging in similar acts in the future.
The governor therefore directed the Commissioner of Police, DANLADI ISA, to identify the perpetrators of the violence and bring them to justice.
Deputy Governor IKECHUKWU EMMETT, who visited the scene, commiserated with the management and staff of De Latinos on behalf of the state government, and reassured that the government would take all necessary steps to protect investors and their investments in the state, vowing to get to the root of the matter.
Also the State Commissioner of Police, DANLADI ISA, expressed regret over the incident, which he described as avoidable, and disclosed that officers involved had been arrested and were being interrogated.
