NIGERIA SUPER EAGLES SETS  TO FACE RUSSIAN IN INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY MATCH.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ‎ has announced that the Super Eagles  are set to face Russia’s national football team in an international friendly match on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.

According to the NFF,  the match was confirmed  by FIFA’s  Agent, JAIRO PACHON, describing it as the second meeting between both countries in 16 months, adding that the game will give both teams  chances to prepare their players and test their squads ahead of future international engagements.

Recall, ‎Russia has been banned from official FIFA and UEFA competitions since 2022 and has continued to play friendly matches against different national teams, including several African countries,
