ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECOVERS BERETTA PISTOL AND LIVE AMMUNITION FROM FLEEING SUSPECTS

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have seized a fabricated Beretta pistol with live ammunition from suspected motorcycle snatchers  in  Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson for the command, TOCHUKWU IKENGA, in a press statement said operatives attached to the Nnewi Central Police Station carried out the recovery during a routine patrol along the area yesterday.

According to him, the suspects abandoned their bag, while attempting to escape which led to the recovery of the exhibits.

While reassuring residents of the  Command  unwavering commitment to crime prevention and the fight against all forms of criminality in the State, its said investigations are currently ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects and bring them to justice.
