The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, TAIWO OYEDELE, disclosed the reforms during a media briefing on the government’s Reform Scorecard.
According to the government, the reforms span fiscal policy, taxation, foreign exchange, education, infrastructure, labour, energy and capital markets, with the objectives of strengthening public finances, enhancing revenue mobilisation and attracting investment.
Emphasising that economic reform was an ongoing process that required difficult decisions, sustained commitment and transparent reporting, the government said progress had been made since the reforms were introduced but acknowledged that considerable work remained.
It said comprehensive details of the 11 reforms, including their objectives, implementation and effects on the economy and Nigerians, would be released during an 11-day review of the Reform Scorecard to provide the public with clearer information on its economic policies and the challenges facing the reform programme.
