NAFIU GOMBE -LED ADC DECLARES CHRIS UBA PRESIDENTIAL FLAGBEARER

A faction of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) led by NAFIU BALA has declared Prof. CHRIS UBA as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made yesterday in Abuja during the presentation of party flags to 29 governorship candidates drawn from the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Speaking at the event, BALA explained that the faction zoned its presidential ticket to Southern Nigeria in line with the principles of equity, fairness, inclusiveness and federal character, adding that the faction adopted the consensus option provided under the Electoral Act, resulting in the withdrawal of the other aspirants and the emergence of UBA as the sole candidate.

Recall that last week, former Vice President ATIKU ABUBAKAR emerged as the party’s presidential candidate of the DAVID MARKled ADC, after defeating ROTIMI AMAECHIand MOHAMMED HAYATU-DEEN in a nationwide primary election.
