FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CANCELS INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

The Federal Government has announced the cancellation of the parade earlier scheduled to celebrate the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary on October 1st.

In a statement released by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Segun Imohiosen assured Nigerians that the government remains committed to celebrating Nigeria’s 65th year of independence with dignity and enthusiasm.

The Federal Government apologised for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation, adding that all other programmes slated for the Independence Anniversary will remain in effect.
