TYLA REACTS TO TIWA SAVAGE’S APOLOGY ON HER BEHALF

Grammy-winning South African singer, Tyla, has distanced herself from Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage’s apology to Black Americans over her coloured skin remarks.

Recall that Tyla sparked controversy after publicly identifying as coloured ,a term widely accepted in South Africa to describe people of mixed descent,while inciting heavy backlash from Black Americans community.

During a recent interview, Tiwa Savage apologised to the African-American community on Tyla’s behalf, describing herself as the Water hitmaker’s elder.

Reacting  to Tiwa’s apology South Africans  commended Tyla for rejecting Tiwa Savage’s apology, criticising Tiwa for speaking on an issue she is not well knowledgeable.
