Nigeria’s world record holder, TOBI AMUSAN, has equaled the World Championship medal record held by BLESSING OKAGBARE and ESE BRUMEafter clinching silver in the women’s 100m hurdles at this year’s tournament in Tokyo.
AMUSAN delivered a strong performance, comfortably advancing through the heats and finishing the final in 12.29 seconds, coming insecond to Switzerland’s DITAJI KAMBUNDJI, who claimed gold with a national record of 12.24 seconds.
American GRACE STARK secured bronze in 12.34 seconds, while Olympic champion MASAI RUSSELL finished just outside the podium in fourth place with 12.44 seconds.
