Nigerian musician and activist, Charly Boy, has opened up about his personal battles with mental health.

Charly Boy took to his Instagram account yesterday where he posted a heartfelt message, stating that his planned three-week trip to Europe  which was later reduced to ten days, was to reboot and recharge himself.

The 75-year-old acknowledged that life could sometimes feel like ‘jazz,’ stressing that many people lack the privilege of escaping their personal struggles and are left to endure them.

The Area Fada as he is fondly called, underscored the importance of discussing mental health openly, reminding fans that it should not be seen as a weakness or a taboo.
