NEWCASTLE SIGNS 55 MILLION POUNDS DEAL FOR BRENTFORD STRIKER.
The summer transfer window for English clubs closed yesterday at 7pm, just four hours earlier than the usual 11 pm deadline, with Newcastle completing the signing of Brentford striker, Yoane Wissa for a fee worth 55 million pounds.
The DR Congo international, who netted 19 Premier League goals last season, was signed for an initial 50 million pounds, with an additional 5 million pounds in potential add-ons.
Wissa will wear the number nine shirt at Saint James’ Park.
The move comes after Newcastle sold striker, Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a British transfer record fee of 125 million pounds.
