Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija winner,Phyna, has tragically lost her life after allegedly being hit by a Dangote group truck.
The family announced this yesterday in a statement issued by Eko Solicitors and Advocates, revealing that Ruth passed away yesterday morning at about 6:30 am.
Ruth was crushed in an accident alleged caused by a dangote truck driver on August 13 at Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, an accident which occurred just six days after she graduated from Auchi Polytechnic.
Following outrage from Phyna after one of her sister’s legs was amputated, Dangote group pledged to take responsibility for Ruth’s medical care, but Phyna in a recent statement, claimed that the company failed to send her sister abroad for treatment as promised.
Meanwhile, Dangote Group in a statement on their X account, expressed sorrow over the death of Ruth Otabor, stating that before her death, arrangements had been made to fly her to India for advanced medical treatment, pending clearance from her doctors.
