D’TIGERS OUTCLASS CAMEROON TO BOOK QUARTER-FINAL TICKET AT AFROBASKET 2025

Nigeria’s D’Tigers have booked a place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2025 FIBA Men’s AfroBasket after a thrilling 101-92 victory over Cameroon.

Both teams fought hard in the first quarter, but Nigeria, however, outscored the Cameroonians and led 60-43 at half-time and further extended their lead to 86-55 by the end of the third quarter.

D’Tigers, who completed their dominance in the final quarter to seal a 101-92 win, will face the third-placed team in Group A in the quarter-finals.

Recall that MOHAMMED ABDULRAHMAN’S side finished top of Group B following earlier wins against Madagascar and defending champions Tunisia.

Meanwhile, Cameroon also recorded victories over Tunisia and Madagascar in their opening two games, and  will now proceed to the play-offs to confirm their place in the last eight.
