MBAPPE OVERTAKES LEWANDOWSKI IN LA LIGA’S TOP SCORER RACE

Real Madrid forward, KYLIAN MBAPPE, has overtaken Barcelona’s ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI in the race to be LaLiga’s top scorer this season.

MBAPPE’S hat-trick in the 4-3 defeat in El Clasico saw him hit 27 goals, thereby leapfrogging LEWANDOWSKI in the Pichichi standings.

The French international now holds the record for the most goals scored by a Real Madrid player in his debut season with 39 to his name, breaking the previous record held by the legendary IVAN ZAMORANO, who scored 37 goals in 45 games in his debut season.
