Goals from JACOB MURPHY and ANTHONY GORDON earned Newcastle United a 2-0 win against Arsenal at St. James’ Park and a place in the Carabao Cup final.

Newcastle looked more threatening when they went forward, with ALEXANDER ISAKgiving them the lead on seven minutes, but the goal was ruled out for offside after consultation with VAR.

The Magpies eventually  took the lead in the 19th minute as MURPHY tapped into an empty target after ISAK’S initial effort came off the post.
