PRESIDENT TINUBU TO ATTEND INAUGURATION OF MAHAMA AS GHANAIAN PRESIDENT.

President BOLA TINUBU will today, January 6th, depart Abuja, for Accra, the capital of Ghana, to attend the inauguration of Ghana’s President-elect John Mahama.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, BAYO ONANUGA,who made this known yesterday in a statement, affirmed that the president’s trip to Accra is at the invitation of the Ghana’s president-elect, who had visited the Nigerian leader earlier in December 2024.

MAHAMA, who served as the 12th president of Ghana between 2011 and 2017, was re-elected in December 2024, and will now succeed President NANA AKUFFO-ADDO who ruled from 2017 to 2025.

President TINUBU, as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will be accompanied to Ghana by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, BIANCA ODUMEGWU-OJUKWU, and other senior government officials, as they join other African leaders at the ceremony.
