NIGERIA’S UNDER 17 WOMEN’S FRIENDLY GAME AGAINST MEXICO ENDS IN A DRAW

Nigeria’s under 17 women team, the Flamingos were forced to a 1-1 draw by Mexico in a friendly game yesterday.

Faridat Abdulkareem gave Flamingos the lead in the 33rd minute but with three minutes left in the first half Mexico equalized.

Both teams used the friendly match to prepare for this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

 Flamingos are in Group A with hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador and New Zealand and team Nigeria will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 16, 2024.
