FEDERAL GOVERNMENT APPROVES 13 ROAD PROJECTS WORTH 1.4 TRILLION NAIRA.

The federal government, through the minister of works, Dave Umahi has revisited and approved 13 road projects in various states of the federation worth about 1.46 trillion Naira.

Umahi, who revealed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of yesterday’s Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, said the approved road projects were mostly those the Council stepped down on July 10 due to lack of funding.

 He highlighted some of the approved road projects to include, rehabilitation of Abeokuta-Iboro-Ilaro Road in Ogun state worth 57 billion Naira; Benin-Akure-Ilesha Road a 300kilometre concrete pavement dual carriageway with a contract sum of 525 billion Naira; rehabilitation of Aba-Owerri Road, NNPC depot expressway in Abia State, with a contract sum of 21 billion Naira; rehabilitation of Enugu-Port Harcourt being handled by CCECC and many others.

 Additionally, the Minister of Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Work, Ali Pate, said the council approved the purchase of 7,887 dialysis consumables to enhance healthcare access for Nigerians with kidney diseases which would be distributed across seven federal tertiary hospitals.
