POLICE YET TO CONFIRM LOCATION OF FIVE KIDNAPPED PERSONS IN EBONYI STATE.

The Ebonyi State Police Command yesterday said they are yet to confirm the location of the gang that kidnapped five persons in the state on Tuesday following reports in the dailies that the incident occurred along the Mile 2 axis, the Ishiagu/Okigwe express road, in Ivo Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya while speaking on the development in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State said they are aware of the incident but the location of the incident was not yet clear.

Onovwakpoyeya noted that policemen in the state are on top of the issue to ascertain the actual location.

One of the reports said they were kidnapped on the way while returning from Enugu to Ebonyi, and another said they were kidnapped on the farm.
