President Bola Tinubu has guaranteed Nigerians that there would be no further increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit PMS popularly known as petrol, anywhere in the country.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale noted that the market has been deregulated and will remain so, adding that they will address the inefficiencies within the midstream and downstream petroleum subsectors to maintain prices where they are without having to resort to a reversal of the administration’s policy in the petroleum industry.

This comes less than 24 hours after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company NNPC Limited also said it had no plan to raise the pump price of petrol.

Meanwhile Seplat Energy Plc yesterday evening confirmed the death of one worker in the collapse of a majestic rig in Delta State, while three others were said to be missing.

A statement by the company’s Chief Executive Officer ROGER BROWN, disclosed that 92 of the 96-member crew were accounted for and safe.
