The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, has promised to strengthen its collaboration with Nigeria to implement major programmes under President BOLA TINUBU’S Renewed Hope Agenda, with particular emphasis on health, nutrition, education, and human capital development.

Vice President, KASHIM SHETTIMA, who received a UNICEF delegation led by the country representative, WAFAA ABDELATEF, at the State House, Abuja, yesterday, described the renewed collaboration as a step in the right direction.

SHETTIMA highlighted ongoing flagship initiatives such as the Nutrition 774 Initiative, the Nutrition Intervention Fund, and the drive for economic and financial inclusion, noting that the administration remains committed to forging alliances with UNICEF and other partners to scale up impact.

The UNICEF country representative also lauded SHETTIMA’S personal dedication to humanitarian causes, calling him a global citizen, and assured of UNICEF’s unwavering support in alignment with the priorities of President TINUBU’S administration.
