A member of the United States Congress, Riley Moore, has reaffirmed that about 7,000 Christians have been killed across the country this year.
Despite counter-statements from the Presidency dismissing the alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, the lawmaker recently stated that genocide has been going on for decades in the country without anyone speaking out about it.
Moore and lawmaker Ted Cruz had also recently called for the designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) over the alleged massacre of Christians in the country.
Meanwhile, the presidential media aide, Daniel Bwala, has on several occasions dismissed the claim, insisting that the security crisis in the country does not target any particular religion.
