U.S GOVERNMENT PARDONS CHANGPENG ZHAO.

The White House has announced that President,DONALD TRUMP pardoned convicted Binance co-founder, CHANGPENG ZHAO, and accused former President, JOE BIDEN OF initiating an unnecessary conflict against the cryptocurrency industry.

Following an investigation into Binance’soperations, ZHAO pleaded guilty to violating US anti-money-laundering laws in late 2023, and subsequently served a four-month prison sentence in 2024.

The pardon effectively clears ZHAO’s criminal record and could potentially facilitate Binance’sreturn to the United States, almost two years after the company agreed to suspend its US operations in a deal to resolve the Department of Justice’s criminal investigation.

The White House stated that the BIDENadministration’s decision to prosecute ZHAO and seek a three-year prison sentence severely damaged the United States’ reputation as a global leader in technology and innovation, declaring that the war on crypto was now over.
