The Super Eagles were beaten 4-2 on penalties by Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations last night.

Nigeria put up a strong fight but failed to scale through at the end of 90 minutes and 120 minutes, resulting in a penalty shootout.

Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemachi missed for the Eagles, while the Atlas Lions converted their kicks.

Morocco will now face Senegal in the final, while Nigeria take on Egypt in the third-place playoff.
