SOUTH AFRICA JOINS EIGHT OTHER COUNTRIES ELIMINATED FROM CHAN

South Africa are now among nine countries eliminated from the ongoing CAF African Nations Championship, CHAN.

The nine countries out of CHAN include; South Africa, alongside Mauritania, Guinea, Angola, the Central African Republic, Zambia, Nigeria, Niger Republic and Burkina Faso.

This follows South Africa’s 3-3 draw against Uganda in their final Group C fixture played yesterday, which means Uganda finished top of Group C with seven points from four games, followed by Algeria with six points from the same number of matches.

South Africa are in third place with six points but an inferior goal difference compared to Algeria, while Guinea and Niger occupy fourth and fifth positions with four points and two points, respectively, after four matches.

Meanwhile, more group-stage matches will take place today.
