SENATE DEFENDS AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN’S ENTRY DENIAL

The Senate spokesman,  YEMI ADARAMODU says the lawmaker representing Kogi Central, NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN remains suspended till the red chamber resume from recess in two months’ time.

 ADARAMODU, stated this yesterday during a televised interview, just few hours after the Senate prevented AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN from resuming legislative duties at the National Assembly in Abuja.

 Recall that the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker, who relied on a recent judgment delivered by Justice BINTA NYAKO of the Federal High Court, Abuja, made an attempt to resume Senate proceedings, yesterday, Tuesday, July 22, 2025 but was barred.

 However, AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN said she would consult her legal team on the way forward and vowed to return once the Senate resumes sittings.
