President Bola Tinubu has terminated the appointment of Fegho Umunubo as his Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President.

This was made known in a statement issued yesterday by the Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House, Abiodun Oladunjoye.

Although no official explanation was provided for his dismissal, the statement indicated that Umunubo’s removal took immediate effect and warned stakeholders in the digital and creative economy against conducting business with him on behalf of the administration.

Earlier reports had claimed that Umunubo was suspended on September 2 in connection to an alleged contract violation linked to a 5 billion Naira Creative Fund initiative.
