Nigerian actor-turned-politician,Olumide Oworu has said that politics should be driven by service to the public rather than personal gain.
In a recent interview, Oworu noted that Nigeria’s political landscape requires people with vision and ability to bring about real change.
The former Lagos State House of Assembly candidate in the 2023 election also called for a transformation in the nation’s political culture, urging leaders to place the welfare of citizens above personal ambitions.
He added that politics should attract well-educated and widely exposed individuals who are dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the society.
Dickson made the announcement today during a media briefing in Abuja, explaining that persistent internal conflicts within the PDP had weakened the party’s structure, making it difficult for many members, including himself, to remain at the party.
