LIVERPOOL DEFEAT REAL MADRID 1–0 IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCH AT ANFIELD

Liverpool claimed a narrow 1–0 victory over Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League clash at Anfield last night.

REAL MADRID goalkeeper THIBAUT COURTOIS was in fine form, producing a series of vital saves to keep the visitors in contention before the breakthrough.

The win lifted Liverpool into the top eight of the standings, level on points with Madrid.
