Guinness World Records, GWR has confirmed that Nigerian chef, HILDA BACI, who kickedoff a record-breaking frenzy across Africa in 2023, has once again secured a spot in the record books.

In a statement released yesterday on X, Guinness World Records confirmed that HILDA, who teamed up with Gino Nigeria, completed her attempt for a record-breaking 8,780 kilogram Nigerian-style jollof rice last Friday during an eight-hour open cooking session at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

HILDA served up the dish at a Victoria Island, Lagos, an event that drew thousands of people and featured stage performances.

In May 2023, Hilda went viral after achieving the record for the longest individual cooking marathon, clocking 93 hours and 11 minutes.

The achievement triggered a surge of record-breaking enthusiasm across Africa, as numerous applications flooded in from individuals eager to take on their own marathon challenges.
