Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have secured a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship following a commanding 4-1 victory over Benin Republic.

GEORGE AGHA, who was named Man of the Match, netted a sensational hat-trick, while DAVID EDEH also got on the scoresheet for Nigeria, and JEREMY ZANNOU scored the lone goal for Benin Republic in an otherwise dominant performance by the Eaglets.

With just three teams in Group B, Benin Republic have been eliminated from the tournament after also losing their opening match to Burkina Faso.

Both Nigeria and Burkina Faso now have three points each, but the Golden Eaglets top the group on goal difference, while the Eaglets need just a draw in their final group match againstBurkina Faso on Saturday to seal top spot in Group B and gain momentum heading into the knockout stage.
