GENEVIEVE SLAMS X USER FOR ADVISING MEN TO AVOID MARRYING IGBO WOMEN

Nollywood icon Genevieve Nnaji has fired back with a sharp response after a man on X advised Igbo men to stop marrying Igbo women and instead seek wives from other African countries.

The controversy began after a photo of a Rwandan woman said to be engaged to an Anambra man went viral.

The X user, while resharing the photo, urged Igbo men to look outside for wives from East Africa rather than marrying Igbo women who, according to him, will falsely accuse  their husband of raping your daughter.

Genevieve, responded by stating that instead of embracing self-reflection and accountability, the man preferred to prey and continue to take advantage of  unsuspecting women .

The actress added that just as a woman cannot easily distinguish an abusive man from a good one, men should not generalize or say that all Igbo women should be avoided.
