FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MOURNS VICTIMS OF NIGER TANKER EXPLOSION.

The Federal Government has expressed deep sadness over the tragic petrol tanker explosion that occurred in Essa, Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State, which resulted in several fatalities and injuries. 

In a statement signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, MOHAMMED IDRIS, the Federal Government extended its condolences to the government and people of Niger State.  

 The minister described the incident as heartbreaking and a reminder of the devastating consequences of fuel tanker accidents in Nigerian communities.

 The minister also commended the swift response of the Niger State Government, security agencies, and emergency responders for their efforts in containing the fire, rescuing survivors, and supporting affected families.  

 In addition, he disclosed that the National Emergency Management Agency had been directed to complement the state government’s efforts by providing relief materials and medical assistance to victims.
