FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MOURNS DEATH OF FORMER IGP.

The federal government through the Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidami has expressed shock over the death of the former Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase. 

Gaidami, in a letter of condolence, sympathized with the government and people of Edo State, especially the Arase families, over the death of the former IGP and Police Service Commission, PSC, who died yesterday at the age of 69 after a brief illness.

Gaidami noted that Arase made a significant contribution to safeguarding lives and property and collaborated closely with the Ministry in ensuring a transparent recruitment process for the 2024 police constables in the country.
