FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DISMISSES US EMBASSY ALERT ON SECURITY THREAT WITHIN ABUJA.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has dismissed the security threat within Abuja city as alleged by the United States’ Mission in Nigeria.

 Recall that the United States Mission in Nigeria had warned its citizens against unofficial visits to Nigerian military and government facilities in Abuja due to increased security concerns arising from current global developments.

 In a swift response, the Nigerian Government through the Minister of Information, MOHAMMED IDRIS, stated that Abuja remained safe for citizens and visitors alike.

IDRIS in a statement, noted that Nigeria’s security agencies are working around the clock to ensure the continued safety and protection of all residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and across the country, adding that the current security architecture in Abuja has not only been proactive but has also recorded significant successes in detecting, preventing, and neutralizing threats
