CHINA WARNS AGAINST INTERFERENCE IN NIGERIA’S AFFAIRS

China has criticized the United States over its threat to take military action against Nigeria, urging the international community to respect the country’s sovereignty.

In a statement issued by Foreign Ministry spokesperson MAO NING, Beijing reaffirmed its support for Nigeria as a “comprehensive strategic partner,” emphasizing that Nigeria has the right to pursue a development path consistent with its national realities.

MAO’S comments follow remarks by U.S. President DONALD TRUMP, who threatened to deploy American forces to Nigeria if the alleged genocide against Christians in the country is not halted.
