CARLOS ALCARAZ DEFEATS SINNER TO WIN U.S OPEN TITLE.
Spanish professional Tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz yesterday defeated Jannik Sinner in four sets to claim the US Open title.
Alcaraz defeated Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to claim his second US Open title and sixth Grand Slam overall, gaining revenge for his only loss in a major final at Wimbledon in July.
The 22 year old is now set to regain the world Number one ranking from Sinner, climbing back to the top for the first time since September 2023 after halting the Italian’s 27-match unbeaten streak at hard-court Grand Slams.
