Nigerian Afrobeats star, BURNA BOY has responded to the backlash which followed his proposal to hold a free concert in Burkina Faso, insisting that his actions are guided by principle, not personal gain.

The response came after critics mocked the initiative and claimed he was allegedly rejected by the President of Burkina Faso, IBRAHIM TRAORÉ.

But the Grammy-winning artist in his Instagram Story defended his intentions and criticized those questioning his motives, saying he was shocked by the surprisingly negative and offensive comments from some individuals.
