BANDITS ABDUCT 25 SCHOOLGIRLS IN KEBBI

Bandits have reportedly abducted 25 students from the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) in Maga, Kebbi State.

The gunmen were said to have stormed the school on Sunday night, attacking the facility located in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area and whisking away the students, an incident that threw the entire community into panic as the assailants operated without resistance.

During the invasion, the bandits killed the school’s Vice Principal, HASSAN MAKUKU, who reportedly attempted to protect the students before several of them were taken away.

The Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, NAFIU ABUBAKAR, confirmed that 25 students were abducted, while the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, AHMED IDRIS, disclosed that the Deputy Governor, UMAR TAFIDA, had been dispatched to the school to assess the situation on behalf of Governor Nasir Idris, who is currently out of the state.
