Nigerian female singer, AYRA STARR, has become the first Nigerian songstress to hit 1 billion views on YouTube.

The 23 year old has now surpassed Yemi Alade’s 805 million views to emerge as the most viewed Nigerian female artiste of all time on YouTube.

Topping the list of views on the platform, Ayra Starr’s Grammy-nominated hit song ‘Rush’ has accumulated more than 450 million views.

With this new milestone, Ayra Starr joins male artists like; Burna Boy, FLAVOUR, WIZKID, DAVIDO, REMA, CKAY, KIZZ DANIEL, P-SQUARE, OMAH LAY, FIREBOY DML, and TEKNO as Nigerian artists who have surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube.
