The Presidency has dismissed a viral social media video claiming a chef at the Presidential Villa was arrested for plotting to poison President BOLA TINUBU, labeling the report as false.
The video, which circulated widely on Sunday, alleged that security agents detained a member of the presidential kitchen staff following intelligence about suspicious behavior tied to food handling in secure areas of the Aso Rock complex.
In a statement, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, BAYO ONANUGA, refuted the claim, calling it a complete fabrication with no basis in fact.
This false narrative emerged amid ongoing public interest in national security matters, following the military’s earlier confirmation of a foiled coup attempt.
