VICE PRESIDENT ORDERS DISBURSEMENT OF 250 BILLION NAIRA LOAN TO SMALLHOLDER FARMERS.

Vice President, Kashim Shettima has instructed the Presidential Food Systems Coordinating Unit, PFSCU to expedite the release of the Federal Government’s 250 billion Naira credit support for smallholder farmers, to be accessed as a single-digit interest rate.

Shettima issued the directive while presiding over the sixth meeting of the PFSCU Steering Committee at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He instructed the committee to develop an implementation plan for disbursement of the funds, underscoring the need to prevent further delays and guarantee that the intended beneficiaries of the programme are reached and translate into real productivity gains.
