Nigerian filmmaker and actress, Toyin Abraham’s latest film, ‘Oversabi Aunty’ has surpassed 1 billion Naira in box office earnings since its cinematic release in December 2025.
This was announced yesterday by the film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment in a post on its official X account, stating that Oversabi Aunty grossed 1.1 billion Naira.
This makes it the first Nollywood directorial debut to surpass the 1 billion Naira mark and the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time.
In response to the achievement, Abraham took to her Instagram account where she expressed gratitude to God, her fans, and everyone who worked with her.
The army, in a statement issued yesterday, January 26, 2026, by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, noted that the arraignment follows the conclusion of its investigation into sixteen military officers arrested in October 2025, adding that the investigation report has been forwarded to the appropriate authorities in line with existing military regulations.
