The Governor of Anambra State has presented a revised 2021 budget .

The Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo has presented a revised 2021 budget of 170 billion Naira as against the existing appropriation of 142 billion Naira to the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Soludo while presenting the revised budget on the floor of the Anambra State House of Assembly said his government hit the ground running as promised and remained committed to creating a livable homeland for the Anambra people.

Capital expenditure accounts for 64% compared to 57% previously, which is an increase of 33% from 81 billion ​Naira to 108 billion Naira while Recurrent expenditure increased marginally by 0.79% from 60 billion Naira.

He said they have declared a state of emergency on rebuilding the road infrastructure and traffic management in the State and about 52 billion Naira or about 31% of the total budget is for the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and theyintend to simultaneously invest in roads in most of the local governments, paying special attention to the urban regeneration agenda.
