PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES RELEASE OF 2 BILLION NAIRA FOR MOKWA FLOOD VICTIMS.

President BOLA TINUBU has approved the immediate release of 2 billion Naira for the reconstruction of all houses affected by the flood in Mokwa, Niger State.

 This was made known yesterday by Vice President, KASHIM SHETTIMA, during a visit to Mokwa, following the devastating flood that destroyed lives and property, left hundreds displaced, while more than 200 bodies have been recovered.

The Vice President said the President authorised the immediate release of 20 trucks of rice to be delivered to the victims, stating that the issues affecting the people would be addressed.

SHETTIMA also stated that the President had ordered the immediate repair of the damaged bridges in the area, along with the prompt rehabilitation of the drainage systems.
