The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has formally issued expulsion certificates to 11 of its prominent members, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), NYESOM WIKE.

The action follows the party’s announcement on November 15th,  suspending several key figures, including former Ekiti State governor AYODELE FAYOSE; former National Secretary SAMUEL ANYANWU; former National Organising Secretary UMAR BATURE; former National Legal Adviser KAMALDEEN AJIBADE; and former federal lawmaker MAO OHUABUNWA.

Others affected were former Imo State PDP Chairman AUSTINE NWACHUKWU; former Abia State PDP Chairman AMAH NNANNA ABRAHAM; former National Vice-Chairman (South-South) DAN ORBIH; and TURNAH GEORGE.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the KABIRU TURAKI–led National Working Committee (NWC) emphasized that the party’s disciplinary actions are part of broader efforts to restore order and strengthen the PDP as an effective opposition force.
