NYESOME WIKE ACCUSES OPPOSITION PARTIES OF FUELLING CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE CLAIMS.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has accused opposition parties of orchestrating Christian genocide claims in Nigeria.

Wike explained that the country’s main challenge stemmed from the President’s political approach, which had weakened the opposition and driven some individuals to make divisive claims that the government was backing the killing of Christians.

Consequently, Wike has reacted to allegations by United States President, Donald Trump over a Christian genocide in Nigeria, and he also addressed Trump’s call for the U.S. Department of Defense to prepare for potential military intervention should the Nigerian government fail to curb the killings of Christians.

The FCT minister said he will support Trump if he provides technology to help fight terrorism in Nigeria, noting that it was not enough to dwell on reports of killings in Plateau, Benue, and other parts of the country. 

Wike added that he would also back any nation willing to offer solutions to end terrorism in Nigeria.
