HOUSE OF REPRESENTIVES LAUNCH PROBE INTO NELFUND DISBURSEMENT IN SOUTH EAST.

The House of Representatives has begun aprobe into the disbursement of the NigerianEducation Loan Fund, NELFund, in the SouthEast.

 Chairman of the Joint Committee on StudentLoans, Scholarships and Higher EducationFinancing, Banking and Other AncillaryInstitutions, PAUL NNAMCHI, made thisknown at the South East Zonal InvestigativeHearing at the Enugu State University ofScience and Technology, ESUT.

 NNAMCHI who represents Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, stated that thecommittee’s mandate is to objectively probeallegations of breach in the student loan disbursement process across beneficiaryinstitutions.

He further highlighted that the investigation willalso examine compliance with legal and ethicalframeworks and recommend actionablesolutions to ensure transparency, fairness, andefficiency in the loan system..
