The Governor of Enugu State, PETER MBAH has lauded the founding fathers of the state, for their sacrifices in the actualization of the prolonged creation of Enugu state, stressing that the effort and commitment of the founding fathers were not in vain.
MBAH who was represented by the Deputy Governor, IFEANYI OSSAI, made this commendation yesterday, at Okpara Square, during the ceremony to commemorate the 33 years of the creation of the state, emphasizing that his administration was focusing on making the state the premier destination for investment, business, tourism and where basic values are assured, in line with the dreams of the founding fathers.
Earlier in his speech, the leader and President General, Enugu State Development Association, ESDA, Igwe ABEL NWOBODO, praised Governor MBAH for continuing in the trajectory of preserving the dreams and ideals of the founding fathers.
In the same vein, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, PAUL NNAJIOFOR, stated that all the efforts made by the current administration since inception, in developing Enugu state, is a clear indication that the governor is indeed ready to bring to fruition the dreams of the founding fathers.
Urban Radio Correspondent, IFEYINWA OGBUE, reports that the highlight of the event organized by ESDA, was the presentation of packets of exercise books by ESDA in support for the administration’s improvement in the educational sector through building of smart schools, among other achievements.
